By air — recommended
Wilson → Ukunda in 50 minutes.
Ukunda Airstrip is the closest airfield to Diani Beach and it's literally on the other side of our perimeter wall. Three carriers fly daily out of Nairobi Wilson:
From the apron to your unit is a five-minute drive — message us on WhatsApp with your flight details and we'll send a driver. (You can also grab a tuk-tuk at the airstrip gate for ~KSh 300.)
By road
Mombasa to Diani — about 90 minutes.
If you're already in Mombasa or flying into Moi International (MBA), the drive south is about an hour and a half on a normal day: about 20 minutes to Likoni, a Likoni Ferry crossing of the Mombasa channel, and then roughly an hour along the Diani Beach Road to Ukunda.
The ferry queue can stretch in the late afternoon — leave Mombasa before 4pm if you can, or after 8pm. Uber and Bolt both work cleanly on this route; an airport-to-Roisam transfer is around KSh 4,500–6,000 depending on time of day.

The classic Diani days — the beach, the conservancy, the river, the quiet southern stretches — are all 10–15 minutes by tuk-tuk or rental scooter.
Diani Beach
~12 min drive
Twenty-five kilometres of white sand starting at Galu and running north to Diani proper. Quiet stretches if you walk south; restaurants and watersports if you head north.
Colobus Conservation
~10 min drive
A small primate sanctuary and rehabilitation centre. Guided walks let you see Angolan colobus and Sykes' monkeys up close. Worth a half-day.
Kongo River mouth
~15 min drive
Mangrove-lined estuary at the north end of Diani — kayaks, paddleboards, and the ruined 16th-century Kongo Mosque on the bank.
Galu Beach
~10 min drive
The quieter southern continuation of Diani — kitesurfing in season, low-tide reef walks, and far fewer beach hawkers than the main stretch.
